Children will have the opportunity to play, create, explore, and interact with our teachers while parents learn more about our preschool program, daily routines, curriculum, and flexible enrollment options. Experience Kindergarten at Pope John XXIII School Kindergarten is an exciting step and we want families to experience it firsthand. Our Kindergarten Experience gives prospective kindergarten families an opportunity to see our classroom in action, meet our kindergarten teacher, and get a feel for what a typical school day looks like at Pope John XXIII School. During the experience, children can participate in age-appropriate classroom activities while parents observe our learning environment and learn more about our kindergarten curriculum, routines, and approach to supporting each child. Families will also have time to ask questions and learn what makes the transition to kindergarten at PJ23 a positive and welcoming experience. A Shadow Day at Pope John XXIII School provides prospective students who are currently in Kindergarten through Grade 7, a unique opportunity to experience a typical day at our school. By pairing each visitor with a student host, children can participate in classroom activities, engage with teachers, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere that makes PJ23 so special. Our Shadow Day runs from 8:10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. designed to give students an opportunity to experience a typical morning, meet students and teachers, participate in recess and lunch, and get a feel for our school community. This immersive experience helps children feel more comfortable in our school environment, easing any uncertainties about transitioning to a new school. Shadow Days also allow parents to see how well PJ23 aligns with their hopes for their child’s education, offering valuable insight into our supportive community, academic programs, and faith-centered learning. We have several official shadow days for this school year:

Incoming Middle School Information Night We invite all current and prospective parents and guardians to join us for our Incoming Middle School Information Night on February 18, 2027, from 6:30-7:30. This event is designed to give you a comprehensive view of what your child’s middle school experience will be like at Pope John XXIII School. You will have the opportunity to explore our challenging academic programs, enriching extracurricular activities, and the nurturing environment that supports each student’s success. We’ll share how our hands-on learning experiences, service initiatives, and life skills curriculum work together to help your child grow academically and personally. Whether you’re considering Pope John XXIII School for the first time or preparing your child for the next step in their education, this evening will provide you with the information needed to make an informed decision.
